To Be or Not To Be - a new Arts programme on Forest of Dean Radio

With a dash of drama, a plate of poetry, a jug of jokes, and some gusty guests you can squirm and squeal, reflect and respond to some serious issues in the Forest of Dean community. The first programme, to be broadcast on 10th April at 4pm, is on literacy, a hot topic in society, where employers complain that school leavers are poorly educated and the Government argues that education is a national priority.

Hosted by Dr D, travelling anthropologist and film-maker, you'll hear extracts from a new educational DVD for children called Tada Dancing Drum. Meet Ko, the football crazy, rap singing crocodile who surfs the internet. Listen to the wise words of a drum called Tada that can talk and dance. Sing and dance with a bird called Bwark who can read and write. And find out who the mysterious antelope is that is hunting Ko. Our special guests on the programme will be Ko crocodile, Bwark bird, the Head and students from Steam Mills Primary School.
